Official: Power Machines mulling JV for gas turbine vanes
ST.PETERSBURG, Nov 8 (PRIME) -- Russian power engineering company Power Machines of businessman Alexei Mordashov is considering creation of a gas turbine vane joint venture (JV), Nikolai Fokin, head of the gas turbine assembly bureau of the company, said late on Thursday.
“We have considered all facilities in Russia, there are two key ones which could produce the goods full-scale. But they are loaded with their own products and their capacities do not allow to satisfy our needs. So the issue is being considered. We have found several smaller companies that can muster a complex technological process. We are mulling either a joint venture with them, or an own foundry, the issue will be solved by the year end,” Fokin said.
He said that the negotiations are in particular being held with Rotek.
